Section 3: Increasing collaboration and communication using OGT data
Intervention Tips for the Collaborative Teacher Team
Determining what resources to use is as important as examining what content areas need more planning and instruction. When you meet as a team, your knowledge may depend on your role in the school program. For example:
Grade 9 and Grade 10 Teachers: Those of you preparing students for their first OGT can collaborate with each other, using the resources available in the Teaching Tools. Discuss what strategies to use in helping students new to the OGT become familiar with Ohio standards covered on the OGT.
To access the Teaching Tools:
- Click the tab labeled Teaching Tools at the top of the page. You will be directed to the main Teaching Tools page. Choose the subject on which you need more information.
- Choose the topic you would like more information on within your chosen subject. These topics are aligned to the content standards tested on the OGT.
- Once you have chosen a topic, the main topic page will appear, and you will have the ability to access specific standards information, the difficulties students may face in this topic, strategies aligned to the topic, and additional online resources.
