Section 4: Using this System for Planning and Instruction
Establishing a Framework
During the year, School Leaders and Teachers plan their curricula; teach students; assess those students’ proficiency in various subjects and content areas; communicate with the students, parents and other teachers; and reflect on the improvements and ongoing needs of those students. These steps form a continuous process through which teachers learn about their students and update what they know. Using this knowledge, you can respond to students’ strengths and needs by making your instruction and plans as effective as possible.
Before you begin this first step, view the OGT data to help you identify the instructional needs of your students.
